The Mac app store has added more apps in one place then we’ve seen in a long time, but unfortunately we can find it hard to weed through the bad apps and find a gem. Well, I think that Geolaria is one of those great games for the Mac, some would agree that it’s a gem as well. Geolaria is a very fun app, you can watch my review of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywQ0vgIYVPI
This is the first in my new series entitled: Free App of the Week. In this series, I will post a review of a free app I really liked. This week I am reviewing Videolicious, this application allows you to take raw footage and edit it without any work. I used the product review setting in my video and the result looked pretty good. This app is really easy to use, however, one of the things I didn’t like is that there is a recording limit, 55 seconds, which was very annoying for me as I tend to get a little wordy sometimes. I would be fine with compromising quality instead of time, personally.
iOS 4.3.3 was recently released to patch the location based tracking from Apple. While not much else has been fixed, being on the latest firmware will insure the best stability and performance. This will work on the iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th generations, as well as the iPad 1.
1. Download iOS 4.3.3 for your device, I suggest using http://felixbruns.de
This website has been used as mostly product reviews. While I do have other pages, a product reviewing website is not my thing. I am changing this site into a manifestation, if you will, of my YouTube channel. This place will mirror (hopefully) every video I make with some form of an article. I may also just write an article from time to time without a video at all. We’ll see. Anyway, just look forward to more posts!
So, you need an iPhone 4 case. You just took a beating from the $200 pricetag, $300 if you went for Mr. 32 Gigabyte. So, you need to protect your pride and joy, without getting a loan. Well, lets see if ideal-case.com’s case can hit that mark, right after the video, on iPhone Product Reviews.
The first thing you need to know is the price of this thing. 25 big boys. Now, I’m not saying already that this thing is overpriced, I’m just stating a fact, price is a huge factor in finding your perfect case.
Now, on to the review. The Elite Metallic Series case is very metallic. In fact, this thing is a decent pocket mirror, and won’t shatter like one either. Yeah, this thing is metallic, not metal. Sad face. This thing, as a matter of fact, is a very thin plastic, so thin that you can actually see through it!
As far as ports, this case does decent on them. They are very good at usability, however, the ports on the top and bottom are completely wide open. Personally, this sorta bugs me a little, it would be nice to have much better to have some sort of protection there, most cases fail to do this. With that said, I do like how they covered the volume buttons as well as the ring/silent switch. They did well at having these usable and still protected really well.
Overall, this case is not worth the money. This would be a much nicer case if the price was lowered, but hey, if you really like the look of this case, this could be just the one for you!
Have you ever found that your on say a long flight, you charged your iPhone before you left, and halfway through, you get that notification? 20% battery remaining. Then, your pretty limited to what you can do on your iPhone, no more playing N.O.V.A 2! You gotta do something that hardly uses battery! But wait a minute, iPhone Product Reviews has a solution, a good one!
The Konnet PowerEZ is a great charger, that’s for sure, but it also functions as a decent stand. This thing is pretty good, at least on a flat, stable surface. On something like a car, or a plane, you may have some more problems, as the stand is at the end of the charger and away from the middle of the iPhone. But, hey, it’s worth a try. Unfortunately, at iPhone Product Reviews, I didn’t really have the chance to go on a plane.
As far as functionality goes, this thing could use an instruction manual. I didn’t see one until I looked on the website, and while that manual worked really well, other people are gonna have problems getting this iPhone product to start working! To get it to start working, you have plug it in, then hold down the button on the Konnet PowerEZ Plus for 3 seconds, then everything should click perfectly! A cool feature to have is the fact that you can hold down the button again, and make sure that your iPhone does not charge! This would be good if you are already at 100% battery and you need to charge up your iPhone later.
As far as battery life you get from this thing, I got over 50% more battery from this thing, on an iPhone 4. This will greatly differ depending on how you are using your iPhone, whether you are watching a movie, playing a game, or just staring at it. This charger takes about 2 hours to get to 100% battery, and to make sure that it is fully charged, wait until all the lights are on.
The design of this device is very sleek, but feels very cheap and plasticy. I would not feel comfortable dropping this thing, or throwing it at any of my friends. Also, the stand seems a little thin, like it could easily just snap off like a twig. Other than that and the lack of an instruction manual, this is a pretty decent charger. While this thing is around $30 on Konnet’s website you could probably find it elsewhere for a better price. To view the product page, click here.
There always seems to be a delicate balance between protection, looks, and bulk. While some cases seem to lack in all these areas, other seem to be able to outperform in 1 or 2. The same goes for the cases, or should I say stickers, from http://wrappz.co.nz. These stickers are thin (of course), look great, and unfortunately, to be physically possible, of course it has to lack in one area! Protection.
Wrappz offers great iPhone Products, and it was alot of fun, however, this isn’t an entirely positive review. Here at iPhone Product Reviews, I did notice a few things I would like to have perfected. First, I would like to see some more “perfection”. This case needs to be able to have smaller openings, especially where the home button. These gaps really negate from the beauty of this case. Also, I would really like it if they could make these cases a little less slippery. In my pocket, I would find my iPhone 4 sneaking away from me, where would iPhone Product Reviews be without the iPhone??
Overall, these stickers are great, they do a good job at getting complements, and if wrappz.co.nz fixed a few things, I would be very happy!
So, you have an iPhone 4, maybe, maybe not. A really cool thing about the retina display is being able to watch movies with much crisper picture. Well, I think that the best way to watch a movie on your iDevice is by using a stand. In the following review, you will be able to see what I think of this particular stand, the good and bad, on this iPhone Product Review.
Like I said in the video, this isn’t the best stand around. I have reviewed the iCarpus Mobile Stand and it seems to work a LOT better for me, and it should work for just about any smartphone around, if it doesn’t, then really you’ve got a tablet on your hands because that is one wide phone!
Anyway, this stand works best without a case. This stand really shines on the back of the iPhone 4′s glass plate, but most people out there have some form of a case. Even a screen protector will alter the stands ability to stick to your phone!
The stand itself is pretty small, and that is one of its main advantages in my opinion. This stand can easily fit into your pocket, which is always a good advantage I like to see on iPhone product reviews. Another big advantage is durability. You can drop, throw, sit on, step on, sniff (ok, thats taking it too far) and really even use it as a bouncy ball and it still works fine.
Because of its terrible suction ability, this iPhone product is not recommended as a stand. If you need a good target dummy for your new gun, draw yourself a face on it and your good. This has been iPhone product reviews, and have a good rest of the day!
Often times we second guess putting on that bulky case for two main reasons. One, bulk. The iPhone 4 is currently one of the worlds thinnest smart phones! Maybe even the thinnest! I don’t know about you, but I really like to take advantage of that kind of stuff! Another big disadvantage is the fact that it can look pretty bad. The iPhone 4 has amazing looks, its extremely simple and looks gorgeous. And if you take of the case, now it just gets tons of scratches! Oh, if only there was some way to fix this problem!! Oh, wait a minute, iPhone Product Reviews has your answer, here ya go.
The Teksure stickers are just amazing. I love how its so easy to put on, as with screen protectors I often fail epically and waste money on them, not fun. Also, these stickers have an actual texture to them. The carbon fiber edition feels a little like sandpaper. Another thing that is amazing about it is its looks. If I pull out my iPhone I tend to get more comments about the stickers themselves, and not as much about my phone! Heck, you may get lots of jealous glares! Just tell them iPhone Product Reviews told you about these stickers, don’t forget!
The Teksure stickers are a great way to just protect your phone from scratches, yet have ultimate looks. To get more information on these stickers, as well as more great products from this vendor, please go to The Lucky Labs website to get more info!
Here on iPhone Product Reviews, I usually show you products that are iPhone, or even iDevice only. However, in this post, I am going to be showing you the iCarpus Mobile Stand, a stand that will work for most mobile devices. You can use this stand for your iPod Classic, iPod Touch, Sony Walkman, and lots of smart-phones.
The iCarpus stand is very easy to put on an iPhone. Just open the stand, put in your iPhone, and your done. It’s that simple! Once you have the phone or device in, it can be very easy to watch movies, play apps, or, if in landscape, sync. I often enjoy watching video podcast on this iPhone product, and I must say it make for a good experience.
The mobile stand does not move around alot. This makes for a better experience when you are using the touch screen, or even the hardware buttons on your device. This stand does not slip around, good for apps, and better if on a plane where it could be moving around.
This is a fantastic stand, sent to me by iCarpus, and it makes for a great iPhone Product because of how easy it is to use, and how useful it is. If you are interested, head on over to http://icarpus.com/ to grab your own!
